Seoul, South Korea Day 2

im back with day 2 in korea! we had our branch at Michelin dk how many stars Ginseng Chicken! you are NOT in korea if you have not had a drop of tt soup! i had my fair share of ginseng chicken for the past 21 years. there is a reason why this particular shop is awarded w the michelin stars! they are really good! i usually cannot finish e entire chicken w the glutinous rice stuffed inside! because there is really a lot. even though their chicken is really really good but i couldnt finish them as well! HOWEVER, i finished every single drop of the soup! heaven.
it's not even winter. it's summer. it's scorching hot outside. but, this is not stopping me from the boiling hot soup!

i cannot remember the exact address. you can google them yourself. they are really famous! and the queue infront of me is insane! however, the queue moves really really fast! the queue behind me is never ending.

after brunch, we went to ehwa to shop ard~
the women's university is SO PRETTY! it doesnt even look like a school! it look like a palace to mee!

they have an entire garden to themselves. they are not ordinary garden. they bushes are well groomed, flowers blooming, stone path, pavilion and all you can imagine from a fairytale.

too hot. and we got this lemonade! e package is so interesting but it is so sour.. -.-

nice cafes everywhere~~~

pretty school~ if only im studying there~

this is like a bread but w egg on it! it's sweeeet! I TOTALLY LOVE THIS!

had local delicacies. the ddeobokki is crazy. i flushed down half a bottle of water after eating one of this.

Seoul, South Korea Day 1

on the 29th June 2013, my family and i departed Singapore for Seoul! This is my third visit to Seoul! however, im particularly excited for this trip. two reasons:
1) this is the first time im gg seoul FREE AND EASY! which shouts SHOPPING!
2) THIS IS MY TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY TRIP

this is a morning flight, thus, we have to wake up in the middle of the night to prepare! we took SQ this time round. yes, you get whatever you pay. you get awesome service, smiles, food, drinks, warm towel and a happy flight.

upon arriving at seoul, the first thing that i notice is that the temperature is similar to singapore :( why am i born in july?  ok, i should stop complaining, 1july is a nice date! after collecting our luggage, we bought T-Money (which is similar to our EZ Link card). then we proceed to take the airport bus to our hotel which is located at myeong-dong. the hotel that i stayed in is SKYPARK III. there are skypark 1,2,3 and central. however, skypark 3 (which is the one im staying in) has the best location, the myeongdong cosmetic street is just behind the hotel! :D

after putting our luggage into our room, we headed for dinner! however, i couldnt wait to start shopping!!
had korean BBQ! im impressed that despite bbq-ing in a air-conditioned environment, i dont smell like a bbq meat! i smell of my perfume! and we dont have to lift a finger thr! the waitress will serve us, from the putting of meat to the cutting of the meat to having them cooked!
NOTE: you can hardly find chicken meat in korea bbq. they serve mainly beef and pork.

after dinner, i practically went crazy there and spent like im printing money in the hotel LOL. the first shop that  i went was NATURE REPUBLIC. it was recommended by jiaqi to get the moisturizer! just after the first shop, we HAVE TO go back to hotel to offload, because it weight a ton!
you HAVE TO SPEND WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE PRICE because everything you see in korea is almost half the price of singapore. so, SPLURGE. the street is really my paradise! *cue heart shapes behind me as background*

the must go shops are
1) innisfree
2) the face shop
3) tony moly
4) the etude house
5) laneige and IOPE

just these 5 shops alone are enough to suck all ur money away. we spent like 600+ in laneige&IOPE, 300+ in faceshop and 500+ in tony moly.
advice to all guys, prepare your credit card, charge up ur phone/ipad/tablet and bring along a portable charger. it will kill a lot of time for you. trust me. after that, be prepared to carry the stuffs. if you are lucky to have a girl tt spends a lot(like me), they will give you luggage for free and you can drag instead of carry! *winks*

the MUST DRINK banana milk! never fails to drink this every morning and every night whenever im there!

two free luggage. we are insane

im still not a big fan of aeroplane food.

i anyhow dump ingredients into this lettuce! hahah! then the owner came over to teach me the authentic way and sequence of wrapping! how nice!

the pancake w tons of spring onions -.-" i took out every strand before consuming them!

the MUST BUY TOMATO WHITENING MASK from tony moly!
it's selling at $20+ in singapore. mad.
they are selling at $9+ there.

i will review on this. it is a positive one.
