advance bday celebration for my fav ANQI

hi there!

on the 25th of april, we did a secret meet up to celebrate for anqi! after the previous outing w my fils, nick, huijun and i started to think abt wad to do for anqi's bday! but nick did ALL the planning and buying of gifts!  i only answered his call while he reads out all the song names of the cd and tell nick wad to type to the msg to lie to anqi! WHITE LIE!

grateful to nick! without him, this celebration will not be a success!

met up w anqi first and trained down to cityhall. i told a lie saying tt nick will be late blah blah blah. im so afraid anqi will see thru my lies but she didnt! shopped shopped shopped!

i think i shocked anqi by buying an item after she goes into the fitting room for a while. but it was a very pretty peachy ribbon belt tt cost only $5! how to not buy?! my 3 fils all agree tt it was a good buy and that the belt was nice!

finally received nick's msg! i was so afraid tt anqi saw tt im msging nick can.. and im so afraid tt i missed his sms/call tt i kept holding onto my phone *stress* but very very very glad that anqi didnt smell anything fishy!

at diva, nick suddenly psst at me.. then i faster go out and hide w them and wait for anqi to finish shopping in the shop to surprise her w the 21st balloon, gifts and cake!

the surprise is a success!!

headed straight to hotpot culture! yum yum yum! i shall not disclose e topic of our convo! :p

when we are ready for the cake, the staff there stopped the music and played the happy birthday song! the song shocked us! totally unexpected! hahaah. we are so shocked tt we duno how to react. 

huijun suggest sharing the cakes w the table behind us as they are celebrating for bday too. but the Y chromosomes are not handsome so we didnt do tt. we gave the extras to the staff there. hahaha. 

this silly girl anqi are near to tears when reading the card written by nick! hahaha. my first reaction is I NO TISSUE!!!!

home sweet home after tt as nick and huijun had work the next day! it was a short 3.5 hours, but it was the company tt matters! how much i love them? i started counting down from day 6! hahaha!

my BFFAW

met up with ida on tuesday! we had shokudo! I HAVE FINALLY STEPPED MY FOOT INTO SHOKUDO! the food is GOOD! 

we ordered

- fried ebi stone rice set

- cheesy mushroom pizza

- takoyaki

- mango dessert

you pay for the quality! considering there are scallops, mushrooms, 3 big prawns, pizza and dessert, i would say it is pretty affordable! i would definitely go back there again!

brought my littlepink out! ida is my first friend tt sees it! ((:

walked around 313, orchard central, H&M and taka! bought my shorts at $17.90 only! it was raining but we shop around (partly for shelter)! when the rain subside, we continued walking in the open! 

WHEN IS THE LAST TIME I SAW IDA!? (when ida and gq come my hse to visit me!) about a month ago! :O time really flies! even tho it was torturing, but i kinda miss the time we gather tgt to eat, do proj, overnight stays, outings, etc! ((: my BFFAW!

the crust is so thin that it is actually quite crispy! the mushroom look dry, but trust me, it is JUICY. 

they fried it! it's crispyyy!!!! they sprinkle little shrimps on it! and 5 balls for only $3.20!

not forgeting the rice and fried ebi in the stone bowl! perfect meal!

but do the same thing as me and ida do, order a thing each so you can try out more things!

if not, you will have to finish this urself and you will probably die from bored-ness!

there was a delay in this month's posting and plus my procrastination, this blog is finally churn out! *clapps* 

if you read my previous post "cook cook cooking", you will know tt i whip up a meal for my family. and while cooking, the postmen shouted "puaysee tan, bellabox". within a second, i strip off my apron off me and dash out! it was hard cos the fire is burning, i cant open the box yet! urgh! so i waited till im done, then i open the box! 

i love the feeling when i open the box to see a nicely packed pink package lying in it! (:

yeap there is a full sized nail polish this time round! im like "omg got nail polish leh". 2 seconds later.. "walao, why purple!?!?!?!"

i am not longer into whitening even tho i still look at things tt whiten myself.. now my "new into" is about pores! my pores on my nose are really big! ): i have no idea wad causes it! and when i put make up, i gt my primer to smooth the skin. i always feel it is clogging my pores even tho the salesgirl say it wont.. 

other than this new pore cleansing foam, i have been using the etude house duno wad la.. but is also for cleaning pore. 

idk if it really works, but at least i can go to bed and sleep peacefully.. a form of assurance!

this uses dead sea mud. i always have a mindset tt mud is dirty and fill with bacteria. 

but deadsea mud is different! i have no idea why! it sounds very enriching. :P

well, anything dirty or not delicious are always good for us. 

for example, vege (yucks) are always good for us while fried chicken (yummy!) is bad for us.

same logic!!!

i have no idea wad this is! i guess it is different from our other usual mask where we tear a sheet out of the pack and leave it on our face. (which may or may not fit our face shape)

this is different! YOU APPLY WHERE YOU WANT THE MASK TO BE! 

you can draw heart shape, star star, cover ur entire face w the above!

and the best thing is that you wont have to lie down! cos it wont drop off ur face even if you walk around!

cook cook cooking!

 before i start my post, let me say something. WHY BLOGGER CHANGE THE LAYOUT?! lao niang not tech savvy leh! it took me some time to understand and find the NEW POST button.. and it makes uploading pictures very difficult!!! i have to change to LARGE one by one.. ): it makes blogging NO FUN.. haih! i dun like changes. i really dun like changing.

looking at the title, you can safely assume tt i cook for my family! (:
i went grocery shopping myself and i found myself damn lost in it ): i went into shop&save and loiter around like a lost sheep.. idk whr to find the things on my to-buy-list!!!! i spent almost an hour looking for 8 items haih! but the friendly workers there helped me w the items! yay!

i want to buy shiitake mushroom! but one is those air-trapped packaging.. another is canned form.. idk which is fresher.. i even ask one aunty which is better.. fml i feel like an aunty! ): i stand infront of the refrigerator and stare at the meat for a long long time.. ): but, for the sake of my family, worth it!

menu for the day:
- egg, turkey bacon, potato salad
- risotto (highlight)
- cheesy tofu patty
- campbell sze chuan soup

the things i bought was so heavy i was hoping i meet any friend near my hse to help me w the things i got! but well, lady luck aint w me.. so i carried the entire thing back home on my own!

when i reach home, my hands are alrdy trembling from the heavy bags! T___T but i get my butt off the seat and started working! i really admire my grandma for doing this everyday.. im doing this for a day for a meal and im alrdy deadbeat!

while cooking, i kept asking for help.. peel potato for me (idk how to), open the can for me, pan fry for me, make it into shape for me, etc etc.. i got two helpers! my popo and mummy! yay! im i main chef for the day!

 doing grocery shopping alone.. ): so heavy! this is just part of it! haih!

i spent 40+ on one meal! power.. my popo got a shocked by me.. but cant blame me, i gt extra virgin olive oil, turket bacon, mozzarella cheese, etc wad.. hmmm..   

messy leh!

i bought those disposable hand glove so i wun have to touch those mushrooms and raw meat w my bare hands! till now, i have never touch raw meat, fish, seafood before except my home econs! (i have to peel a raw prawn.. wanna puke) 

and during home econs, i flood the basin when im cleaning it.. T___T i made my friend pump the sink for me.. :/

my most successful dish for the night!!! potato salad! it is niceeeee!!!!

it was really easy to do!

step 1: boil the potato and egg

step 2: pan fry the turkey bacon

step 3: dice the potato and egg 

step 4: slice the turkey bacon

step 5: pour everything into a bowl w the salad dressing, black pepper, salt and lemon juice

step 6: mix well!

i think this is the best my culinary skill can go ): dear husband, please know how to cook, otherwise we shall eat potato salad and maggie mee everyday okay?

cheesy tofu patty! it was nice! but i didnt help much except mixing the meat and tofu tgt.. my mum did the shaping and frying. i forget to add soya sauce to marinate the meat. so it was bland. but still nice cos the mozzarella cheese in it is like pizza, can pull one!

heartpain, dilemma, fretting

went to chinatown to buy japanese yen!

this trip is going to be real different! no more boring tour groups! my very own customized 8D7N hokkaido trip in own chartered car!! omgggg! feeel like a princessss!

wad has become of me? my aunt always say im spoilt! im no longer contented w holiday w tour groups! i wan my own private tour private chartered car!

the moment i step into hokkaido, im exposed to radiation.. haih.. dont care.. even if im to die there, i will die happily! hokkaido leh! i rmb wanting my honeymooon there!!! my dream island!

went to serangoon broadwalk to rent my graduation robe!

other than the robe, paid deposit for the photoshooting package!! i know doing all these for a diploma is very exaggerating but im the first child leh! it is only normal tt i get more attention wad.. *pout* i will be having a photoshoot w the huge teddy bear! teddy will be in the same graduation robe w me! ohohoh so eggggcited! go there and you will know wad i mean! much taller than me leh the teddy! ohh why so cute?!

tho it is stupid to pay hundreds for photos but ONCE IN A LIFETIME THING LEH! and im only young once!
